Rules and Regulations:

  • Teams of maximum 3 people

  • Teams from all the 3 campuses can participate - Pilani, Goa & Hyd

  • Teams for Idea Challenge can be enrolled here.

  • There are 2 stages for the event:
    • Idea Submission
    • Implementation Submission

  • We have started accepting ideas from 13th Jan'2012. The online submission form includes a short summary and implementations details regarding the idea, and other relevant information. The stakes are high, make sure you score one here. The more original and creative the idea, the better.

  • One Team can submit several ideas but an individual cannot participate in different teams.

  • Archive your implementations, complete with a readme file at art@bits-csa.org . If the file size exceeds the attachment limit, share it via dropbox with the same email address.

  • Deadline for Idea Submission is January 15th 23:59 hrs.

  • Implementations should be submitted before 20th January 23:59 hrs. The final implementations should have a ReadMe file along with them.

  • The choice of the programming language is entirely yours.

  • Copying the entire idea/ implementation from another source would lead to immediate disqualification. Please abstain from doing so. By saying this, we are not asking you to reinvent the wheel while you are making the automobile. You may use code snippets for fulfilling your in-project requirements, as long as they do not directly implement your idea, it is simply a helper module to it

  • Provide credits to the authors of code snippets that you downloaded and used in your own code.

  • Evaluation will be based on the originality of the idea, its usefulness in the real world, its feasibility and scalability as well as its implementation and user experience.

  • Your code will be disqualified if it doesn't execute. Partially completed solutions will be accepted, but only the modules that are complete in execution will be considered for judging.

  • The decision taken by the panel of judges will be final.

  • The final results of the competition will be declared on 27th Jan'2011
